i am impressed by that teaser video!

i initially thought the design is ugly, i was wrong, it is so thin and elegant and with a great ui(better than maemo5, some ios elements)

wheter it is maemo6 or meego, it does not matter to me!, i love n900 so much!

if it is capacitive with multitouch, nokia can get my money!

lastly, my n900 is great because of the great community at maemo.org

where can i watch the live streaming of this event? btw i am living at singapore.

no provider is going to advice any of its customer to pick a MeeGo device in those conditions, will they?

so why not use the "proven platform" (dixit Stephen Elop taking the Oro out of his pocket)?
a Symbian N9 being a N8 upgrade w/ such a disruptive HARDWARE technology would stand a much better chance exceeding the 4 millions unit of N8s sold in less then a year, no?
NO CAN DO
Wont want a blasted symbian device not after this chaos and EOL Support!!!
Once declared Dead always Dead!!!

is this how Stephen Elop is planning to market another 150 million of them?
This strategy disgusts me !!!
If this is the OS the whole point of disruptive tech is to let open experimentation on it.
Doubt Qt tools would let us anywhere near these enhancements without us deeply trenching in Avkon code.
Yuck!!!

Am I right in thinking that Singapore is 12 hours ahead of New York, so essentially, I could be watching the live feed at 10pm Monday night? Might be worth watching, although from what knowledgable people have been saying here, it'll be a "here it is!" on the 21st, then everyone goes nuts for 3 months before they actually release it.

Meh...I'll watch it in the morning on Tuesday. No need to wet my pants over something I can't buy until the Autumn anyway.

Last week, it was rumored that Nokia will have press event to Launch new devices. Well Nokia has sent out invitation for the event saying “We are nokia, We rule the world.” Nokia will be doing live streaming of the event the 21st.

Tell that to Apache and ProcessMaker, who give away free software and charge consulting and training fees for how to best implement it.

Not a rumor, links abound. I do need a new phone and it will be by all measures a new "N9"*, the hardware must be the most advanced as we know it today, it will be employed to further develop the OS and applications.

* = you name it; as along it has the basic attributes as the E7 keyboard.
