The most shameful flaw in N810 is the lack of stereo bluetooth and bluetooth music controls. I say, Nokia made the flaw before in calling N91 an advanced music phone but leaving it until N91 8 GB to have those features. I still have the N91 lying around, nobody wanted to buy...

flywheel energy storage - means the n800-fw will also stand up on one end due to the gyroscopic effect!

Interestingly, Quim has (seemingly, I don't have the logs yet) confirmed that the N810W is not step 4 (there's egg on my face ).

Step 3.5? But it has 4G wireless, and (presumably) 2G storage...

Cool to know!

Would be nice to see that Samsung solar cell tech where it can charge thru using the screen and solar cells behind it. Far out, but kinda neat to have out in the sun.

Dumbest thing I've ever heard. Not only is the heat from direct sunlight not very healthy for LCD screens, but you're gonna need those solar cells plenty, after that same heat has destroyed your battery.

But wait, doesn't Samsung make replacement LCD screens and batteries? Because then it would make sense -- for Samsung.

I don't dispute the fact that I'm an honorary member of the Grumpy Old Men Club, but you do have to admit that implementing a power collecting mechanism that helps destroying your power storage facility, is not the brightest (hah!) idea under the sun (and another one!).

Reminds me of Franquin's Guust Flater (Gaston La Gaffe) cartoon strip where Guust invents a solar-powered, battery-less flashlight; it only works in full sunlight...

I'm more concerned with what solar cells (which try to be absorptive) do to the LCD's daylight viewing characteristics. Transorptive? Think the difference from the N800 to the N810, only backwards...
