Yeah thats part of the game design, since the game was originally meant for a joystick, where its easy to use joystick up as jump too bad we have to suffer for it now. hehe.

Stunt car racer works great on mine im sure youll get it running.

I will look into remapping more keys, for gamegripper. But the menu keys are a bit more complicated, so cant say anything at this point.

Is there any way to know what input mode (keyboard, mouse or joystick) is active?

No not at this point. But when you run a game it allways starts in keyboard mode, pressing fn+space once will bring you to joystick mode, second time to mouse mode, and ofcause loops back to keyboard mode the third time.

Thank you very much for the gg layout Mthmob! Works really well so far I have tested.

May I suggest adding the second shift key into the layout, as it currently doesn't seem to be mapped (in original layout either)? This would enable the right flipper in Pinball Dreams/Fantasies to be controlled. Thanks!

Speedball 2 seems to go into and out of pause mode everytime the player tries to move with remapped keys. My guess is that this happens because SB2 pauses from all the alphabet keys in keyboard by design, according to the game manual, and the joystick mode registers keypresses on the keyboard as both joystick and keyboard inputs simultaneously. Bad luck...
Parasol Stars and Paradroid'90 work fine, so it's only this type of special case that causes problems.

For the record I'm using scandic remapped version of UAE4ALL.

This is true. When you switch to joystick/mouse mode, the keyboard keys isen't disabled. This is actuelly the first thing im going to look at right now. It annoys the hell out of me.
