Your problem sounds like you're missing the addon pack.

New update is anyway coming shortly for all plastic packages.

no i did as you said...i have the addon pack 1 installed also.

i think it was about 33mb yesterdays updates if i recall? then it stoppped allowing me to change any settings after that

I'm pretty sure I'll go with Meego -devices also. With N900 Nokia managed to keep me as their customer (I was 99,9% sure I won't touch another Nokia device after N97).

And how could I now leave you guys; just noticed I've received 20euros beer money since I put that link into my signature couple of days ago, this almost starts to feel like another job :-D

Okay. New updated versions are now in extras-devel and hopefully they will solve issues related to changing schemes and issues with stucking backgrounds people have suffered.

So udpate your application catalogs and let application manager upgrade all three packages (if you have them installed). I'll wait for feedback and then promote packages to extras-testing if no issues are found

Latest versions are:
black-plastic-theme 2.204
plastic-addon-pack-1 1.3
plastic-addon-pack 2 1.1-3

am updating... the black plastic theme and addon pack 1.i did not know there was an addon pack 2?

Addon Pack 2 is still unfinished and includes only one scheme; Pleego (wannabe Meego theme).

In the future I'll release a new Addon Pack when the latest has 15 schemes in it :-P

I just upgraded to newest version of both the main package and addon pack 1 but I can't select anything else than the black theme:

Tried uninstalling both, rebooting and re-installing. Any ideas?

BTW - Love Your work D-livil...!

EDIT - Just noticed there's a newer addon pack (1.2 -> 1.3). Will try it out.

Hmm... now that's weird. Can you copy & paste the output of these (in xterm):
