No problemo, keep the autoinstaller running. Then as you advance in the steps, you will replace Nitdroid 0.0.8 with 0.0.9, withou knooowing it!

Dude i have successfully installed nitdroid on my phone but as per your post i cannot go further with eith step
bzip2 -d NITDroid-0.0.9.tar.bz2
its says bzip2: can't open input file NITDroid-0.0.9.tar.bz2: No such file or directory

Let's start:
If you installed Nitdroid 0.0.8 in /home, remove all Nitdroid files from /home partition, by filebox for simplicity, but don't remove maemo files!
bin, data, dev, etc (symlink), initrd, lib (symlink), mnt, proc, sbin, sdcard, sys, system, tmp, usr,default.prop, init, init.nokia.rc, init.rc
