so just over a day to that conference thing and still nobody knows anything?

tbh like someone said before today it would be first time Nokia managed to keep secret what they will announce to the very end which only excites me.

Glad to see the word "disruptive" still peppering this tread since I last read it. Perhaps the thread's name should be changed to The EPIC disruptive tread" It certainly has had that effect on me! I know! I know! How about "The Disrupting Tomato" Kind of like interupting tomato, but, you know, more disruptive. Hmmm... well, I don't know. After further thought, I may have stumbled on a better name for nokia's WP7 phone. Well, at least I tried, but without success. Suggestions are welcome (about the name of the device!).
IMO the disruptive device is a kick-*** S40, a multitasking Java platform + ecosystem that truly will disrupt the lower end much like iPhone/Android have done.
The N9 may also be shown, but not as a disruptive device. A platform for exploring/testing/research disruptive software technologies, maybe, but even a WP device will be more disruptive than the N9.
Disruptive != New. A disruptive device/technology has to disrupt the market, or it won't be disruptive.
Anything may be shown on the 21, and market dudes may re-invent the word disruptive only to make headlines, so who knows. I am not holding my breath, I am just hoping for Nokias sake that they show something disruptive wrt S40, or we may kiss Nokia (as we know it) goodbye. A kick-*** N9 would be incredible nice, but it won't disrupt anything, it won't help Nokia gain market share.

It's too early for WP announcements yet. They will talk about it for sure like they mention it on the event site. Maybe announce some services for it but hardware, i very much doubt it.
My pure guess is more than one Symbian device and RM-680, maybe consumer device announced in Nokia Connection. Don't belive for WP or these "super S40" phones being announced. There's still Nokia World in October that got perfect timing for some big WP announcements.

symbian for S40? Sound disruptive enough to you? Or how else will they sell 150m symbian devices?
