I went and got myself a nexus 5 to play with...
See how fast I can brick it.
Best suggestions for an os for it?
I see a variety of options
I would prefer plasma...but there really hasn't been much resolved in the issues surrounding wifi and the keyboard...

sfos on nexus 5 seems to have tons of issues which make kde plasma's issues on nexus 5 look like the difference between the plague and a cold...
Once I have it in hand I will see what I shall do with it...
I don't hold out a great deal of hope for it...frankly....
I must admit ...the nature of things nowadays is...
people get something to run on a device...
half-assedly throw it together...
maybe or maybe not fix some things...
leave even more things non-functional...
make sure there is a generous list of issues, bugs, and things that crash the device...that are never addressed..
then promptly abandon and drop any support and follow through for the device to move on to the next device to half-assedly do the very same thing again...
pisses me off.
It is no great wonder why we still have yet to have a functional successor to maemo

I don't buy the same old excuses any more...
Its a freaking crutch ...and just a pat statement that has been used so much it is a droning mantra with no meaning now...
The determination isn't there any more to follow through...to work and find solutions ...think round corners ...

Leste better end up in better shape than the sack of rotten potatoes that is the sum total of all the half baked os's that float out there now.
