Thanks -- some flood-related stuff happened today, so tomorrow will likely be when I announce things. I have a lake view now.

Here's the announcement I posted on the front page. Looks like the YouTube demo video is still processing. Don't anybody buy anything until you see how cool these things are.

So, today I'm happy to announce that I'm finally able to offer something people asked for right away -- high quality black acrylic stands.

These gorgeous, glossy, piano-black stands are even better than the old clear stands. They are now non-slip! They stay put on a desk very well.

See a demo video here.

The best thing, though, is that I now have two package deals with stylii. Right now, you can buy a black acrylic stand plus a stylus for $20 -- or you can buy a black acrylic stand, a black wooden stand, and a stylus for $25. That's a steal.

Remember, these prices include worldwide shipping. I will be gone for the next two weeks, so my friend Matti will be handling shipping, but customer service will still come from me.

There are only 25 total packages with stylii. 10 of the mixed sets, and 15 of the single acrylic + stylus packs. When they run out, I will not be able to restock them until I return to Fargo in the beginning of April.

These new wood stands fit extra-tight. Please watch the video to be sure you're ready to assemble them when you get them.

Thanks for everything, everyone.

Oh my yes. A drop in replacement for the one it comes with, but with a bit more meat to it would rock.

Any plans to put felt or rubberizing on the bottom of the stands - where they contact the surface of whatever they are on - to minimize loud vibration noises?

Or am I just a ninny and that's already there?

Well, the non-slip coating is rubbery in a sense, but not padded. I think that may have been discussed, though - search the thread.

This new acrylic stand is non-slip but will probably still vibrate against your desk because the rubber bands are only on the back. One possibility I've been investigating is little microfiber mats that could be included w/each stand.

I would probably have to see a little more interest, though. Orders have almost stopped, so it doesn't make a lot of sense for me to do yet another redesign.

Any suggestions welcome -- I will look into more substantial stylii.

Just received my stands and stylus in today’s mail. I really wanted a spare stylus but figured I would order a couple of spare stands as I had misplaced my stand weeks ago. Quite unusual for me. So while visiting my son at college I asked him if he was using the 3rd stand I’d ordered. He pulled it out of his coat pocket and said he kept it there but quickly and graciously handed it over when he learned mine was MIA. His stand has since been returned--mine had fallen out of a bag of charts in my vehicle; the weather warmed up enough to clean it out.

My black acrylic stand is gorgeous and the stylus is awesome. It looks just like the original except it doesn't say NOKIA and it fits in my n900 perfectly. No more worries about losing it!

So five stands and one stylus later, maybe Fake could run a loyal customer special on styli!! Three for $10 maybe?!

Thanks, Dan. You rock!!!

Thanks, M.

I am going to be simplifying my store -- probably selling only black acrylic stands and stylii from now on. When I go through that process this weekend, I will set up a 3-pack stylus special.

More soon.

Well damnit.

I went to help my Dad unload a car... and smashed my phone in the process.

Anybody got an N900 for sale, cheap, or does anybody know if it's possible just to replace the top half? I'm good at building and fixing things, I just don't have much money.

Maybe I'll do some kind of fire-sale and empty out my store to make back some cash.
