Hmmmh. I guess it doesn't really matter. I don't like credit card payments very much as we have a pretty good functioning European Direct Debit system in place in Europe. But Americans will never get it into their heads that there are working alternatives... It's more if you go for fixed or flexible funding as a campaign starter.

I do oppose Kickstarter more due to my experiences with it. Out of roughly 30-35 projects I supported about one third have failed to deliver at all, were endlessly delayed, canceled by the campaign starter in mid-financing (1 project) or changed focus on what the campaign is about (5 projects). So i didn't invest anymore in crowdfunding (with one exception on kickstarter + indiegogo each). I just let current projects run their course basically.

Note that failed, canceled or endlessly delayed projects give this sites a bad name (take the Jolla Tablet campaign for example but also Ouya console, Gamepop console, Erythia - Shattered Dreams, Haunts - The Manse Macabre, Wildman - An Evolutionary RPG, Body Scapes - Art Vs. Pornography, The Last Sleeper - Episode One or Unwritten - The Things Which Happened just to name a few which come to mind. Note also that a project which doesn't reach it's funding goal is not a failure in my eyes (Coldenlight, Hexit, Abandoned). The same goes for a project which delivers (IndieGO! console) or one which succeeeds in the second attempt (Days of Dawn). Some projects are very good (The Case Of Charles Dexter Ward based on the Howard Philips Lovecraft novel) but have been launched at the wrong time (mostly just bad luck, sometimes also poor research prior to the campaign) or meet strong competition.

Ah, it was already conveniently asked & answered what I was just thinking earlier.

Another thing I was wondering regarding the BT keyboard:
Looking at the IGG page I noticed the keyboard has at least a couple keys too few to remap all the letters in the e.g. German or Scandic (possibly others) keymaps. So, what happens to the extra keys (ÜÖÄ in German, ÅÖÄ/ÅØÆ/ in Scandic) when the hardware keyboard is set to another language in SFOS? I'm assuming those "extra" letters will still be writable with some key combos but it would be nice to know for sure.

Do you really, really need that much disk space on a tablet? How in the hell? What do you guys keep on your tablets D: ?

So with real curiosity, what are you keeping in your tablets if 32gb is not enough?

Music or video? But how about all the streaming services? Also it is so easy to put movies and music to separate small usb-stick. And that way you don't have to worry what device to take with you, just attach the usb to your keys.

Just hoping to hear what I the reasons for huge disk space that I fail to see.

You're not really a computer nerd, are you? Sooner or later I manage to fill up every hard drive to the brink - even to the point that the machine isn't booting up any more - i.e. not enough space for booting up, installing linux, defrag, deleting/moving files etc.

Well, you say it, usb sticks are way too small. No way I'm ever having enough space there to put anything on I want. All seasons of Türkisch für Anfänger or 2 Broke Girls or Downton Abbey? What if i want to watch a documentary or a romance film? And I would have to transfer all the files before to it - a personal nightmare! No - I want the freedom of choice on any one of my machines. I want to choose someting to watch/read/listen to instantly, intuitively, spontaneously, out of the mood of the moment...!

I like to try things out - so different operating systems, multimedia players, streaming, games of course (1.420 0n Steam, about 480 on Gog), web radio (Kili Radio, webradio of Pine Ridge Indian Reservation), cultureunplugged.com, Journeyman Pictures, Vimeo On Demand, viki. com (Viki Pass), Amazon Prime Music/Video, rednation.tv, Spotify Premium... Not to mention emulation of classical computer games...

My machines can never have enough storage/space/RAM. After 3 external hd's became too messy I opted for an 8-bay NAS. Currently I've got 16TB built in (can go up to 32TB). I usually dedicate one sole 4TB hd for a single purpose - so 1 for Steam games, 1 for Gog games, 1 for Linux etc. You get the picture? To come back on topic I choose the Russian red Youyota + will buy a 256Gb sd card later. I opted for it because of the storage space, not because of the colour.

If I want to get a cover and a keyboard I need to select 2 different perks any thus pay shipping costs twice. Is this correct? And it's the same result if I wanted to get two covers.

Or is there a way around this, i.e. is it possible to combine different perks? Am I maybe overlooking something?

In my case of 55 USD I would need to pay 20 USD (shipping) + 35 USD (cover&keyboard).

Anyways, fantastic that you are making this campaign possible !

Where are which keys? http://www.daskeyboard.com/images/31...BmxqRw4yWw.jpg

okok, this is an interesting question. You said that one or two keys are missing. Which keys will be affected? Somewhere around RETURN? That would be # + -. Do you need to switch between English and e.g. German then?

Huh? Which keyboard layout has # anywhere near enter, let alone on a separate key?

There's one key missing next to Z, one next to M, and two each next to P and L. I also don't see an Alt Gr key, so I'm not quite sure how any of the third or fourth level characters could be typed.

British keyboards, # and ~ are on the same key next to enter.
