And actually even the basic things in terminal need more knowledge than using graphical tools or doing real life sculpturing, painting etc. Imagine the first time you saw a terminal. If you have totally no knowledge; you don't know any single command, it would be very hard to get started without help of google/books/friends. Trying to find out which letter combinations actually are terminal commands just by testing every possible combination would be a pita. Compared to graphical tools, where you could just start clicking around with your mouse and see with happens. Or compared to painting where you can start messing with the paints and trying to get more paint to the canvas than your face. From this point of view, I'd say that working with terminal might be the most elegant kind of art, for only the most talented artists. And I generally suck in all these kinds of arts I mentioned, so this is not a personal commitment.

No it isn't. When you have a graphical interface full of buttons, you can just start pushing them and see what happens. Even a monkey would learn quite fast how to make post a message to a thread. Or, for example, when trying to make a statue from a wooden block, you could start hitting it with an axe and see if it works.

With terminal, you have just a blank screen with no hints what to do. The only thing you could do is Finally got my point?

Actually even that. If the man had enough brains to play with, he might learn it in some point. But we were originally talking about arts. None of arts is easy to master, but many of them are easier to get going than my terminal example.
