I have a brainstorm for a "SaveMe" button if you fancy voting on it - hopefully it will perform a similar function to clear rootfs space when urgently required - without the user having to be too technical

There are a few other ways to clear space - but realistically that should help most
yep, i'll vote for that - i'll have a look for it

One or more bloggers had announced that MMS would be coming in a January 2010 firmware update; however, there never appeared to be an actual source behind that news.

MMS would have been nice, I'm sure it will come out in due time. The priority for this release was more than likely the 3G sim fixes which is pretty important. The extra bug fixes and improvements are most welcome too

I've had zero problems with my N900 so far, so I'm pretty happy its being well supported even when some issues aren't affecting everyone.

See fMMS, ctrl-shift-o for 2/3 of your questions. I'll take the improved battery life and the 1000s of other bug fixes, thank you.

FYI: When I had it down to 59.8MB free, it STILL wouldn't do the update OTA, so crossing that 60MB of free rootfs space is critical.
That's strange...mine updated at 47mb free!
