First, sorry this might not be the best place to stick this post, but in a way it is a screen shot. Finally got my VNCviewer to cooperate with OpenSUSE. I was having problems using some of the KDE 4 tools, like Krfb, and in the beta of OpenSUSE 11 wasn't working. Anyways, here it is using x11vnc, and something nice to look at is changing the screen so that if, like in my case, you just want to use the tablet to remote control a music player on someting hooked into the stereo, change it so the player app is huge. Also, go the other way. For me going from a 1200 x 800 resolution to the N800, 6/10 or 1/2 worked great, with somewhere in between being perfect depending on how you size the VNC window. Here are directions in configuring x11. I know this is no great accomplishment, but it wasn't that easy for little ole noob, me.

Nice

From what I can see, it's either a GConf edit (I've already seen the WiMax entries a long time ago or just moving the icon to the wifi one and refreshing the gtk cache

It was a gconf edit, of course; moving files would have been a crude dirty hack; this was just a dirty hack. I've still gotta update my website with a download section, and put my gpsd-clients package up, and then I'm gonna finish my uber-color bootmenu and show you up for real...

The python applets don't have a noticeable effect; they do nothing unless the display is on and the home screen is showing. (Which is how all good applets should behave...) Under high CPU load, sometimes you'll see them all say "Refreshing..." or something like that when you switch to the home screen, but usually you don't even see that. Khertan did an excellent job with them.

Firstly, ain't gonna happen

And besides, it's not my mod, It's by KotCzarny. All I did was integrate it into the diablo initfs with my custom bootmenu (because i can )

Anyway, Benson, how are your programming skills? I've got a little something that would be nice if we could fix

<shrug />I can program a little more than you claim you can, but I'd be hesitant to claim more, too...
Watcha got in mind? PM me; and if it's a public sort of topic, start a new thread or point me at where it's being discussed.

I've never claimed I can program, hell, look at my game threads where I put down my programing skills. I can do simple stuff and that's it.

If anyone else wants to do it, be my guest so i'll post here.

If you apt-get source hildon-desktop

You shall find a file - hildon-desktop-panel-expandable.c that is called by libhildondesktop/hildon-desktop-panel-window-dialog.c

This is the limit of statusbar icons and the drop down arrow thing that comes in it's place.

I've already trying increasing the limit but then we can't see the applets at all, so I was wondering if you know how to change it a little...
