Never got any read only file system error.
Though had segmentation fault last couple of days .
thought something was wrong with qdl but when all qt apps started giving segmentation fault found out it was due to some other package

Dont have any idea about N9 but try removing QDL and manually delete all QDL files otherwise reinstalling will give again seg fault error.
Then install QDL again.

Sometimes qdl crashes Is this a bug
on my device, I was downloading two files each of 1 gb but after settings "maximum downloads to 3"
it is crashing even after reboots
what I did is changed the maximum downloads to 1 from */marxian/qdl.conf
now it seems ok

does qdl on harmattan downloads 720p or 1080 p or some other from youtube???
The problem is that providers tend to limit speed per connection from their side even on gprs connection.
Also noticed that when using multiple connections through axel or even opera more than 2 downloads at the same time makes the device almost unusable for me when downloading via 3G no such thing occurs while in 2G mode.
