Yes, it's a known problem, and even while I (almost) got the needed funds to get a new cert, the problem is with DNS not yet owned by "us".
Another cert will expire at 12th or 14th iirc

I'm about to find out how to order a new *.maemo.org cert without owning the domain. Any help appreciated.

cert needs some "Organization" which for now is "Nokia". What should it be for new cert? can it be anything different than "Nokia" at all, as long as whois looks the way it looks? Would any cert issuing entity send such cert to a mail addr different from the "Admin Email:dnsauthority@nokia.com"?

Another "option" we're pondering is to install a self-signed certificate for now, that at least would allow users to create an exception rule and trust that cert, something that afaik can't get done on all browsers for expired certs.

Last time I got a (free) cert from starssl the only requirement/check was that I got the mail they sent to the domain...(I admit they do say you have to be the owner)

ok, we updated a few certs on *.maemo.org. Some are known to be broken still (the subdomains that actually live on www VM, except bugs.m.o) This is a problem originating from our consolidation of several vhosts into one machine. We will take care about that eventually as well.
https://vcs.maemo.org
https://lists.maemo.org
https://bugs.maemo.org
https://maemo.org
should work now

cheers

We created a scratchbox.maemo.org VM. The domain scratchbox.org should point to this IP RSN

http://scratchbox.org/ should `work´

Code:
host scratchbox.org
NB that the site has no proper html boilerplate yet, but download URLs etc should work

Thanks for reporting, I'll forward it to jacekowski(autobuilder) and merlin1991(repo-maintainer). Sorry I'm a tad busy right atm with elections, so can't personally track the issue. I'll probably be able to focus on it in ~4 weeks from now.
Please feel free to pster both on IRC as well.

cheers
