Hi again. I see that you have progressed with the project some more. I would like to try it again. I installed v0.91 22 May update and edited the .cfg file. But the thread is long and convoluted. is there some nice guide I can follow to make sure I am doing all the right steps?

-load the maebble dir onto your phone
-edit the cfg for your watch's mac address
-verify the mac address
-launch from the directory with the cfg and executable
-Pair your watch in bluetooth

-Enjoy seeing your SMSs, syncing your watch's time, and controlling your music. Proprog has more coming once he has the time!

did I miss anything?

I added some scripts and launchers in the thread to make running, monitoring, and killing the Maebble daemon easier.

I know that biketool is using the beta at

https://www.dropbox.com/s/fuj75423sc...0.92b.zip?dl=0

Notifications and music control have been updated.

It's probably better that you use that as I've also changed where to look for default config files.

Thanks. I used the new install and also copied maebble.cfg to /home/user/.config/maebble.

Watch connects and updated the time correctly.
Music display works.

i get this error when changing tracks

media_next
sh: can't create /tmp/oscp-user/oscp.slave: nonexistent directory

Notifications so far dont seem to work.

At the moment all the files are installed in home/user/MyDocs/Mypackages directory with a copy of the config file in the directory mentioned earlier.

Any thoughs on the error for next track and the lack of notifications?

For music control you should set use_oscp to false in the config. And I recommend using the delay settigns from the config file in the beta zip.

Do you have any log from maebble when you get an sms that should be sent as notification?

Email notification is work in progress. It's often working for me but it's far from perfect. And it will only log account and number of new emails. That's good enough for my use but I can imagine that others want more information.

Proprog, either the current version you have public or the beta should be on the repos, not sure how to get that done.
The reason is that most of the tech difficulties people are having are install problems, if it is a deb you can control that. You can also push upgrades.

I have to say that when listening to music in a car or bicycle a Pebble is the best way to pause or skip, far better than a control on the wheel. Also a great way to see a SMS and decide whether I need to pull over to actually read the message.
