Most of us here will be fairly happy installing unrar manually, but mainstream users might not be.
That would be an issue if I was linking the code into the project. The program is just calling the unrar command which is not gpl'd and having the package manager include it as a dependancy. Afaik, after looking into it briefly this is not breaking the spirit or the legality of it. I'm not linking code in, and it isn't a plugin. Just another unmodified non-gpl'd "program" that is being called.

I've tried out cbrpager on my n900 and it's working very nicely.
Looks like the main work to do now is fremantlisation in terms of appearance of menus and settings, and the toolbar icons.
Agreed. I need to spend some time on this. ;-)

I think it's a bug... Anybody able to successfully assign the page next / previous functions to the volume keys?

Thanks!
I'm looking into this already. I need to find somewhere where their is code some gtk code to detect the volume keys in C, or a wiki article giving me a clue which direction I need to go to capture these keystrokes. I don't have a n900 yet, so I can't easily create a test application to figure it out.

Actually it turned out to be fairly simple to capture the volume key. It is also known as the zoom key. I will be putting up a new version shortly after I finish the tests.

I've uploaded v .30 up. It is in the queue to be built. Once built I'll move it into the testing. This should allow the zoom/volume key to work on Fremantle.

Nathan.

Is there a source repository for the Fremantle CBRPager in gitorious or somewhere else?

Just in case I find time to fix a couple of annoyances.

You can find it under the package here, but I don't know if it's also being kept anywhere else.

No their doesn't seem to be a svn repo for the Maemo version of cbrPager. If you want I can see if the project admin can create the repository and then I can drop the latest source (which is linked to in the prior post) into it so that others can work on it.

Ok, I have the rights on the project to do it. Anyone who wants rights to commit on the project join the project.

I'll try and get the latest code committed today.
