Actually, by posting that, you are now required to tell. I hope it's an FM transmitter, vibration just won't do it for me

There's no vibra, and there's no (piezo-)haptic feedback in the N810. We would be using those if they would be in the device especially the piezohaptics.

Piezo is ... totally tubular.

I think it is the wimax chip. Just like the upgrade path n800 owners will take advantage off, the n810 owners are also going to take advantage of hardware already present when the next tablet should be released...

"Ultra-Vibe Pleasure 2000":

Right...... vibrating..... I'm not a south park watcher, but I'm sure that a South park fan would recognize whatever "Ultra-Vibe Pleasure 2000" is, since it seems to be from the Episode "Mr Hankey,The Christmas Poo"? Though I have to say it's definitely Easter Egg material.

I'm thinking USB host mode... It would fit the bill as it is probably relatively easy to do and would go unnoticed for a while.

@prosthetic

Is this Easter Egg really Hardware or is it Software?

Maybe A2DP support is the Easter Egg in OS 2008? A2DP support became available in the Bluez stack - mainly through the involvement of Nokia - more than 2 months ago.

I'm not sure USB host mode is particularly hidden:

E.g. see the first few entries in the N810 dmesg output: http://thoughtfix.com/tabletblog/dmesg.txt

This is (largely) the same as the dmesg output from the N800 with OS2008: http://www.internettablettalk.com/fo...&postcount=159

See these lines for example (for the usb hub):

[ 20.312500] hub 1-0:1.0: USB hub found
[ 20.312500] hub 1-0:1.0: 1 port detected
[ 20.312500] hub 1-0:1.0: standalone hub
[ 20.312500] hub 1-0:1.0: individual port power switching
[ 20.312500] hub 1-0:1.0: no over-current protection
The N810 does appear to have a different audio codec to the N800 though:
N800:
[ 1.031250] ALSA device list:
[ 1.031250] #0: OMAP24xx EAC with codec TSC2301

N810:
[ 1.085937] ALSA device list:
[ 1.085937] #0: OMAP24xx EAC with codec TLV320AIC33

Looks like the new codec may be more flexible in terms of its input/output sample rates, bitrates and it can do effects: http://focus.ti.com/docs/prod/folder...v320aic33.html

that would be the best easter-egg. They said that the radio was not the easter egg in the n800. maybe it's in the n800 too?

USB host mode can't be the easter egg, because OTG is official. With that you should have something like hostmode
