It is up to the user to maintain order in a song collection (or a filesystem for that matter). The normal use-case is to maintain the media library on a pc, then download songs to portable devices for playback.

The place to update and organize your ID3 tags and filenames is on the server PC, not on the player device.

(edit) I'm not claiming that ability to change id3 tags or edit playlists in kagu wouldn't be useful. But blaming a media player for a disorganized music collection is not very appropriate.
If all this organizing of music should and needs to be done only on the pc (which, believe me, I do!) who needs Kagu? Just to look at the pretty album pictures? I love Kagu -- but for its potential and spirit, not to look at pretty (but usually wrong) album covers, which I could really live without. I LISTEN to my music, and don't necessarily stare at the pictures while I'm do so. But this all may be a mute point, as I'm currently unable to load Kagu with the new firmware! And does your defense of Kagu go as far as donating money to the developers -- which I've done to a token extent.

Thanks guys! I have to tell you that I've grown to love Kagu; it (combined with an 8GB SD card) keeps me from going insane at work every single day (stupid music being piped in over intercom).

I'm sorry, I have to agree. A music collection is only going to be as good as the collector that maintains it. I have a friend that downloads a lot of music, and he just bought an iPod. When he loaded his music on the iPod, half of the tracks didn't have title or artist info. Why? Because he never put the proper tags in the files! Media players can help get album art for you, but if you don't put the proper ID3 tags in the first place, you're screwed.
