So, I'm wondering if anyone can help me with the switcher app? I'd like to use Newsgator's iPhone website. I like it better than the mobile, and the normal is to much for the N810. I have the app installed and can get to the configuration page. I've added the iPHone user agent. What's next?

Thanks.

You need to select the iPhone profile and go to the webpage (I think you can even set the iPhone string for specific websites?) and then see if it looks like you expected. It should.

BTW, there are also some ITT threads about the program I referred to.

(Its silly we need to change our useragent string. Instead, a useragent string should have a general word in it e.g. mobile or embedded and based on that the website serves the correct page. Soon we get all kind of statistics how the iPhone is so popular while users like us adapt our useragent string to the hype... )

Thanks. That's exactly what I was wondering, how to set the UA for a specific site, but leave it as is for others.

I searched for the iphone user agent and I get this:

Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X 10_5_2; en-gb) AppleWebKit/526+ (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/3.1 iPhone

now where do I input this in the chrome://useragentswitcher/content/config.html page?

I read this http://www.internettablettalk.com/fo...08&postcount=1 but don't understand how to do step 5

I tried the add button but want sure what to do with the info I had.

Anyone?

Put the chrome address in the address bar, press enter / go, and bookmark it. Almost as simple as a button a-la adblock.

Well, I was able to get the iPhone newsgator page, but it doesn't work. The main page loads, but when attempting to review a specific page, it starts to render then fails. Oh well..

Thanks again.

One more nice mobile browser friendly site for getting news. feeds, flickr, upcoming and mostly for me the NY Times in a "iPhone" format mobile browsing website is

Leafletshttp://app.getleaflets.com/

Does not require any useragent change either.
