I hold my N810 in a (waist) moneybelt, bought in one of the better shops in Amsterdam. It looks very much like this

[link]

..but with the zips going lower, slightly bigger, and mostly black colour.

Code:
______
______
______
The N810 is in its original soft case on the bold, horizontal line in the ASCII figure. This 'line' is zipped open to put the device in there. The 2 lines under it are also zipped, containing other items such as a mini wallet.

From the top zip the pocket goes completely down to the bottom of the moneybelt. The second zip goes completely down as well (medium size pocket). The third zip as well (small pocket). The N8x0 would merely fit the medium size pocket.

The screen of the N810 is pointing towards me. On the side of the screen, pointing towards me, is also my passport which is exactly the size of the N810. This protects the N810 somewhat more.

Everything under the bold line goes in my trousers. Its still possible to grab the N810 out of its zip/pocket though. Its convenient during travelling and sports, and to grab out the mini wallet from the money belt is relatively easy as well you just shortly have to take out the moneybelt, zip open the moneybelt 2nd zip, and grab it out of the pocket. Putting lose money in the moneybelt is not wise because it scatters around against other tools in the money belt, and you don't know how much money you have with you.

The moneybelt can also contain another device like a DAP or phone but then it quickly becomes too heavy so I usually put those in my trouser pockets and put it in the moneybelt when I use the N810. The moneybelt can also be partly put in the trousers functioning as a belt.

Sometimes I use the skimpy case it came with, sometimes not.
I do use homemade screen protectors.
all this time i've read ur sig i thought u meant the thinkpad computers. Now, that's just funny.

that looks neat for the cell and keys but for n810. it would have to be a belt clipped case or front shoulder case where it can easilly be access and attached comfortably with headphones for listening to music.

I would really prefer a factory N810 slip case, but NOBODY has them. Not even the Flagship store in Manhattan (asked the other day, they laughed and said they don't ever sell them...).

I'm interested in this pouch thing but their website is awful. Anyone have a photo of one and what choice you made? (hard/short flap, loop, clip, etc.?)

I have one of the "pouch" cases from thepouch.com. Mine has the long flap and belt loop. Protects the N810 very well, but the case is pretty big... probably a half-inch wider and longer than the nokia. Also, the company didn't put a card holder in my pouch, despite what the website claimed. If they won't replace it, I'll sew one in myself, though.

I'm quite a far on the material the "pouches" are made out of. I'll try to post some pictures later when I'm at my regular computer.

I've stuck with the slip case the N810 came with because it doesn't add bulk and the device is still very pocketable. I always lock the screen and place the screen side against my body.

As promised, here are some pictures of my "pouch" for my N810. This is one of the pouches from www.thepouch.com

Here's an open case next to the N810.

N810 and case... shows how much thicker the case is than the N810.

N810 next to closed case.

And finally the N810 going into the case.

Like I said before, I'm pretty happy with my "pouch," except that its missing the card pocket the website said it would have, plus the thing is a little bigger than I'd ideally like. But it fits in all my pants pockets fine, so the size isn't a big deal.

I use an old leather case I had for a Palm V around about 2000 or so(can't remember). It is pretty good and I am used to it. I am not really out and about much on foot so it really just goes from home desk to office desk on the car seat. The n810 is about exactly the same size as the borders of the leather case so I guess it is possible for the sides to hit stuff but I am not really worried about the sides as much as the screen.

If I am going to be out and about on foot, I usually just pocket it and my debit card and ID.

Here are some pics. I really don't know if you can even buy one like this any more if you wanted to. I think it was OEM Palm as it has the Old P Dots logo stamped on front and says Palm Computing Platform

The Nintedo DS Lite semi-hard foam cases are a perfect. I got one on eBay for $5 including shipping. Mine is just plain black with no Nintendo logo or wording at all. It's very similar to the case logic USB hard drive cases.

Regardless of whether I use the DS case or the OEM sleeve case, my N810 usually then goes into my LowePro Stealth Reporter D200 camera bag, which goes everywhere with me as if it was a man-purse.
