I feel like a complete tool, but i've tried and tried...

i click on the address bar, no keyboard pops up (like every other app that's expecting text input). I check the preferences, "use software keyboard" is selected. I've tried unchecking it, but still no keyboard.

Fine, I hit the select button, and up pops the thumbboard. I type in my new URL, click the minimize keyboard button, and see my new url sitting in the address bar. I select "go" from the right menu.. and nothing happens.

it looks like a pretty program, and i know it works because of the default bookmarks on the left.. but.. help!

if it's an id10t problem, please smack me (kindly).

in order to popping up the vkb, you HAVE to press the <ENTER> button (in the middle of arrows) ... so you will be able input text from the virtual keyboard.

I know it sucks, but I am working on a solution. I hope it gets fixed for next release

'go' is also broken :s ... again , try popping up vkb via <ENTER> hd key input you text, and then press the virtual ENTER to go ...

bookmark is also not integrated so far . Maybe it'd be better to comment out not-working-yet-features from menus for instance ...

it should work here ... the phisical button in the middle of arrows ... it sucks. Fixed for next release though
This means the standard vkb will be available, and not just the thumbboard?

All that does is add a newline to the thumbboard entry area.. and dismissing the thumbboard, either with the select key or the minimize button, doesn't add an "enter" to the address bar.. it still just sits there, taunting me.

You need to change your input settings in your control panel. Deselect the choice of having the thumb board appear after hitting the rocker button.

cheers.

that was entirely too obvious. thank you!

i'm thinking there's something "wrong" about overriding the way the OS handles input selection (lack of consistency, and mashed-head syndrome), but i'll shush on that for now.

Yes, no problem than I can see (although I haven't had time to test it much).
Last night I saw the archive was available again, downloaded it and opened it with app manager without uninstalling the previous one. It correctly went into upgrade mode and the new version seems to work okay (although it went 'poof' once when clicking on one of the buttons on the left side :-)

One minor inconvenience : it does not pick up a proxy address that may be configured in the current connection's profile, like Opera does.

Installed simhei.ttf chinese font on the n770 and both simplified and tradition chinese font pages renders perfectly fine. Can anyone provide me with the Japanese font file name that I can try with minimo? Again thanks for making this great browser available. And with bookmarks and secure site access, opera on the n770 opera would be obsolete.

I'm running v0.16.2-1, and I'm about ready to toss it.. for now. I've read such great and wonderful comments about how this is so much better than the included browser. I wish I could say the same.

I've found it to be horribly clunky, and slow, even in comparison. I swear I read someone say it works amazingly well with Google Calendar -- that just causes it to lock up to either the point of rebooting itself or needing a reboot. I have a 1g card in the machine, with the additional vfat turned on for swap space.

Am I missing something? I'm not running beta, I'm not running Sardine... but, I am running out of hair.

Thoughts, suggestions?
