Ahh! We've got the name wrong (again)! It's a repeat of the N810W fiasco. Other options:

N901
N910
N920
N810OMGWTFLOL!!!11!

Any warmer? ;-)

Y'Know, every time I see N9xx in the RSS feed I get my hopes up, and every time I see them dashed. I suppose it's Karma for my poor taste April 1st post, but I would like to hear something, *anything* official from Nokia regarding the 810's true successor (and I don't mean adding a radio chip).

This is the really funny thing in the electronics industry: people buy a gadget, it does exactly what it promises, and it comes with a 1 or 2 year guarantee so even if it breaks down you can get it repaired or replaced for free. You're getting what you're paying for, and no one is taking it away from you.

But then if a newer version of that gadget comes out there's a certain kind of person who starts talking about being "stabbed in the back" or "forced to upgrade too soon" or "they're exploiting their customers" or "I'm never buying from them again".

Who the heck is doing the forcing? No one has to constantly buy the latest thing, in fact most people don't. I know people who still have Playstation 1s in their living rooms and they're still getting a lot of fun out of them despite being two generations behind the latest model.

It's TOTALLY understandable if people worry about a software platform changing too often, because that would affect the amount of software support for older models too, but if it's purely about new hardware models then where's the problem?

People should just relax and enjoy what they've bought for its own sake instead of being paranoid that it might not be the latest model forever. You'd never buy anything if you live in fear of new models or unannounced price cuts.
