Ruslan - I didnt mean to hurt your feelings or offend you.

I was just expressing my frustration. I DO appreciate the hard work you are putting in to make this work and once the bugs are sorted, I will be buying credits.

So carry on with what you are doing and you could have a good customer base here.

As of right now service@gtalk2voip is available, I can make outgoing calls via service chat, but not from the contacts list, they all time out after about 10-20 seconds. I am able to make calls into 770 from ipkall if I first use my ID in windows version of googletalk to accept the invitation (the first time for each phone number). Callers who have I have not accepted invitations can not reach me. When they call my googletalk logs off and back on and my call contact comes up for me to pick someone to call. It does not ask me to accept a invitation.

Does this work for anyone else???

With FWD you just dial **898+1+number.
I tried "call **8981xxxyyyzzzz@packet8.net" and it just sat there trying to call but my packet8 number did not ring. Any ideas?
If you dial **898+1+number on FWD shouldn;t you be doing "call **8981xxxyyyzzzz@fwd.pulver.com" ? Or maybe "call xxxyyyzzzz@packet8.net" if Packet8 uses ten digit numbers?

BTW, Ruslan - shouldn't you be sending sip:gururise@gtalk2voip.com in the From header so the call can be returned?

Has anyone been able to recieve an invitation on a 770, I can not recieve invitations on my 770, I am thinking it is related to my account because I reflashed my OS and it behaved the same way.

Can anyone confirm this? Can you recieve an invitation on your 770?

no, you cannot accept invitations. it seems to be a bug, or they forgot to add that part.

I noticed the green and orange guy blinking, if you click on it you will see at the bottom under "Set presence" authorizations and open chats

It still does not work on the fly for me though, when I recieve an invitation my googletalk logs off and on and when it logs back on I can then see the authorization request, but I already missed the call, you can then authorize them and when they call back it should go through.

Not sure why the crash is happening though, a googletalk bug most likely

Yeah, I think we have to keep in mind that this is still the beta OS we're working with here, and there could be reasons beyond our control as to why things are working a little flaky. I know that sometimes when I have a browser window open and have been using Google Talk [chat or voice], after closing that app, I sometimes get kicked out of the browser. There have been a few times where I had to reboot just to open the browser again because would keep giving me an application error.

After few days testing of GTalk on 770 as well as on PC I have come to a conclusion that the GTalk client on 770 is either 1) very buggy or 2) not completely ported... thus the Beta status. I have had no problems on receiving or making calls from my PC client, but I have not been able to receive any (phone originated) calls using 770 client. Ruslan has been working on with this very hard but I think it may not be worth extensive effort until the final 2006 OS version comes out for 770. Hopefully by that time the Gtalk client on 770 is fully equivalent with the PC client and no workarounds are needed.

That's what I think and feel free to disagree or point me to a "magic bullet" how to get this to work...

For Ruslan I want to encourage that once this is working good I'm planning on buying credits. At this time this is just not working that good that I'd like to shell out the cash yet...
