It better come quick, and it better have a Cortex CPU! I just watched Charbax´s latest video of the new Archos 5. Super duper fast browsing! Put a Cortex in an internet tablet and I´ll finally have what I first hoped for when I preordered the 770 way back when.

Wow. Someone's an optimist around here. Back when other people were preordering the 770 (and I would have been, if I wasn't broke), I'd have been happy to have a laptop with the performance of my N800 now.

But it's pretty plain it'll be cortex; as for soon, who can tell?

Even now I'd be happy if my laptop had the performance of my N800... (Celeron/500MHz, 120MB RAM, sloooow disk)

Yep, maybe I was a bit naive when I first got the 770. I almost broke it in half I don´t know how many times. The whole OS was one big bug in the beginning.
But... I really think a tablet with Cortex inside will be the holy grail. For me at least.

This is what I´ve had so far, and been dissapointed with:

770 and N800 - not powerful enough -> not the FIE(full internet experience)
OQO Model 02 - Too hot and noisy, too big, too unreliable.
Nokia E90 Communicator - No browser to take advantage of the screen resolution, and when Opera Mobile 9.5 finallyarrives, there still wont be enough power.
All the Atom based MIDs so far - too big

Give me a Cortex based Internet Tablet with preferably 4.8 inch screen with minimal bezel and a slide out keyboard, please! And it needs to be 770 thin.

Heh, I can hardly wait to see Quim cornered and questioned at the Maemo summit. Just for that it's worth coming.

You can trust me though. Our panel of accountants entered all the entries and "sim card" came out on top.
I'm sorry, but are you actually Darl McBride? Chris Sontag? Or maybe you just work at SCO? Man, I KNOW what you're saying sounds awfully familiar.

Get an Eee 701; performance is real similar. (A bit faster, but not much.) And that's with ondemand governor, going from 112.5 to 900 MHz.

Of course, a 701 + 10.4Ah battery + touchscreen kit costs a bit more than an N800 + keyboard, and doesn't fit in your pocket...
