One slightly goofy side-effect -- I don't have (and have never had) the "Speed contacts" applet selected for my desktop, but after the upgrade it was selected. Odd. Aside from that, no issues at all.

It happens, nothing to worry about. I had Speed Contacts and RSS enabled.

I still have those multiple repeats.

Only issue I found was my Web Shortcut applet, which was set to my hourly Weather Underground forecast, had its URL and graphic reset for the OS2008 user site. :|

It depends on whether you're on an N800 (rx34), N810 (rx44) or N810W (rx48) and whether or not you're using unlocked. Tab-completion will tell you which one.

You can confirm quickly by checking osso-product-info.
Thanks, this worked. I had to reboot my N800 for the change to take effect in the control panel though.

No problem on good ole N800 here. Disabled all exotic repos first, checked for minigpsd and bluez-utils-test (already gone), and all went well. Just had to deselect speed-contacts (no RSS) and all was back to normal. Battery level took a hit though :-)

Me: "Just read Nokia released a software update for my N800 today."
My boyfriend: "Oh." - Pause... - "So is this something you would like to have as a Christmas present?"

Men!

No problems installing the update here. Which I'm very glad. Last two times required a reflash, this time if I did have to reflash, I'd have to find a computer since mine recently died.
