Given all that, I'd say that they've effectively disclaimed away their deceptive attempt to make it look compatible by default--which it's not. Any need to hack or tinker on your own part to make it work is not the same as being compatible.
exactly my point

i paid a lot of money for the speakers -why did nokia just come straight out and say -no compatiability

in fact i did not go to the nokia europe site but to all the review sites that are promoting the n810 and md-7w as being compatiable

I dunno. I translated that canned email as 'eh.. we'll look into it. Don't call us, we'll call you.' Doesn't mean they're not looking into it, but it just feels like an ingenuous canned response to tell you to just sit back and relax.

But anyhow, I think supposedly Freemantle will fix this (drink) on N8x0 models... no thanks to Nokia for fixing it, though, it falls to the community since they're not doing Freemantle themselves. No matter how you look at it, Nokia never made the N810 models compatible--they leave it to YOU to make it compatible.

hi

thanks for your support

it was the same with the gps-5 minutes to start up -ridiculous-only now has it improved with the new updated minigps app-30 sec startup

if you say nothing, take no action it gets the flick

nokia have got to pitch in because at the end of the day it is their product that benefits

Hi!
I wish to buy Nokia Bluetooth Speakers MD-7W for my mother, she has a Vivotab Smart with windows 8 (bluetooth 4.0).

Does anybody here know if those speakers will work through bluetooth on a computer?

Thank you very much!

Well, you sure have a point here!
Thank you very much for your wise opinion.
I was tempted by those speakers because they are at a very good price on ebay, and they have a separate body for L and R. The other speakers I could find are or on one individual block, and stereo makes not much sense if you cannot put L and R at your left and right, or terribly pricy.

I guess I'll have to look more for alternative brands or models, again thank you.
