By the way qgil by your experience when should be expectable to reach a similar number of app has maemo 2008?

I’m really sad with the numbers of the extras. I would guess that with N900 in the shops the amount of applications would increase. In fact it was the opposite. Go figure.

The apps already in extras were developed by people with prerelease devices or on emulators, that's why no 'reaction' in app numbers to shelf activities. The people who will develop things on release units have hardly had the time to familiarize themselves with the N900, much less to go through the whole Extras development and publishing process. Patience

Fair. Let’s wait.
I hope that we can at least make a rapid transition of the applications that are available for maemo 2008 (500 of them)

Also, there are nearly 80 applications (some new, some updates) in the testing queue, but testers seem to lose interest far too quickly

/me wonders if such a strict QA might require a dedicated qamaster on the long run...
