But this has been removed, check my post here.

Maybe you could still try using the HD_TYPE_HOME_PLUGIN_ITEM atom ive mentioned in the post. Thats what I had to revert to.
hi, thx for the reply!
I'm confused
didn't you use pyqt for batlevel?

I understand, for some reason I was sure batlevel was pyqt.
I downloaded the source of batlevel, it appears so massive, overwhelming.

I'll way inside the n900 programming sooner or later (: but I guess it will be later!

Kudos on batlevel, it's working great and looks good.
Thanks for all the info.

great app man thanks for the help on the installation yesterday!! i have a couple of suggestions for your next update;

1- the background color, is there any way you can make it either transparent, nonexistent, or much smaller to conserve screen space?
2- is there any way you can set the colors to change from say, green (or whatever color the user chooses) when the battery is between 100% to 50%, then yellow (fixed color) from 49% to 21%, then red from 20% down to 0%.
3- is there any way to make it start when the phone starts? as of now i have noticed that when i either turn on the phone or reboot the phone, the app must be restarted manually. autoloading would be nice.

thanks so much !!

Can you release a new version linked to the PR1.2 QT libraries? I'd like to get the libqt4-maemo5 libraries off my N900 (and they'll be disappearing from the repositories soon).

The app doesn't seem to be accurate.

are you sure about that? i find the default battery bar at the system tray to be inaccurate. drop to a terminal and do an lshal while grep-ing for "percent". that should be more accurate (but don't do it immediately after a charge or while it is charging because the charge level doesn't seem to update during that time).
