Its smooth enough as it is. There are higher priorities than eye candy at the moment especially in the phone dept. If I could I would actually turn the animation off as its just a gimmick. If I wanted animations, I would go to disney world or something. The emphasis on animation over features like multitasking (eg iphone) is disturbing. We live in a world where a book would rather be judged by the cover. Common sense not common.

I'm not going to defend the post in question, but please. A tiny percentage of aggressive posts flavors the entire forum?
Not possible.
Anyone stating what's in the quote is seriously lacking perspective. There are forums that make this look like candyland, even on its worst day.
That said, I wish we could ALL be a bit more objective and less confrontational.

Ok boss, point taken. I just get frustrated with sweeping generalizations like 'n900 is slow'. Nonsense.

There are phrases like these: "the N900 could be so much better" or "inferior phones do better" or "the N900 is so slow, how can Nokia sell it?" and so on that makes people from the community a bit unfriendly.
But can people see that THEY are unfriendly in the first place?
You could simply state "my phone is slow like hell, the Media Player can't see my music or is slow... what can be wrong? how can I fix it?" and have A LOT more people willing to help in a civil way.
Instead people add phrases like "Why can't nokia provide us a lag-free os".
Why people complaining about the "unfriendliness" of this forum understand this simple matter?

Of course frustrations shold be aired but in this case, its irrational to say its slow when consensus suggests otherwise. If it was not up to my expectation, I will send it back straight away as I did with the n95 and not whine like a toddler. To me Nokia really got its act together with n900; which other device is like it ?
