Its smooth enough as it is. There are higher priorities than eye candy at the moment especially in the phone dept. If I could I would actually turn the animation off as its just a gimmick. We live in a world where a book would rather be judged by the cover. Common sense not common.

Not possible.
Anyone stating what's in the quote is seriously lacking perspective. There are forums that make this look like candyland, even on its worst day.
That said, I wish we could ALL be a bit more objective and less confrontational.

There are phrases like these: "the N900 could be so much better" or "inferior phones do better" or "the N900 is so slow, how can Nokia sell it?" and so on that makes people from the community a bit unfriendly.
But can people see that THEY are unfriendly in the first place?
You could simply state "my phone is slow like hell, the Media Player can't see my music or is slow... what can be wrong? how can I fix it?" and have A LOT more people willing to help in a civil way.
Instead people add phrases like "Why can't nokia provide us a lag-free os".
Why people complaining about the "unfriendliness" of this forum understand this simple matter?

anyone had a problem like this with phone, that when you talk with someone the sound of the other persons voice can be heard clear one second and then the second time the person speaks the sound is very weak and hard to hear. it goes back and forth all the time.

To me Nokia really got its act together with n900; which other device is like it ?
