my dream app...

ok that would be a combination of ProfiMail and the java GMail app of google.

So a mail application that is a good imap-idle client and has also a gmail mode where you can see threaded views (like in the browser) and has an archive button (besides delete button)

And of course the data transfer is optimized for mobile usage!

my would be a barcode reader that can show me the cheapest prize in internet for the product.
Well we'd like mbarcode to do that eventually, if anyone feels like writing a plugin to do this please join in and we're currently trying to sort out the Python bindings so that people can write python bindings to use with it.

In terms of what I'd like (other than to finally get mbarcode into a state where it doesn't consume loads of time ) - augmented reality, and namely a mash up of Google maps + nethouseprices overlayed on the camera.

Profile app that could switch phone profiles based on time of day/calendar events. Also native support for more profiles.

The other day I was walking home with a big bag of groceries in one hand. I received an sms. I slid open the device with my free hand and read the sms. I was forced to make a decision at this point. Do I stop walking, and put my groceries down to reply to the sms, or do I keep walking and reply to it later? I should not have had to make this decision.

My dream app is a portrait mode keyboard.
