I'll look into it tomorrow. Wich sizes are needed? Any requests or color-preferenses (id you want the same colors as now, I would need to know where to find the logo in my phone)?

But anyways, look for experimental support for m4b in the next release.
Given the stated scope of this application, it sounds like .m4b chapter support might be asking too much. But I'm going to ask anyway:

Will you be able to add embedded chapter support for .m4b files?

If you don't know what I mean, iTunes and the iPod, and I think QuickTime too, can find and play chapters in .m4b files. The .m4b file has to have the data embedded in the file somehow (I don't know how it works, but when I've had a few that did that, and even made with with chapters).

Note: I am keeping my feature request post up to date with things I've implemented

I could not reproduce the reboot to run bug. Maybe something I've done magically fixed it.

Back to the comparison with Pannucci. This app plays .awb files which are not cataloged by the music player so that they don't play when using random playback. For those of us that came from Symbian and managed to use the Nokia Audiobook player this is an excellent feature. I am not sure what else create awb files.

Nice progress.

I got mail about getting a bugtracker last night, but don't have time to play with it right now. Hopefully tonight. I think it can be found here

I'm also listening a lot to audiobooks in Pannucci and I solved the problems of multiple files of the book simply by doing:

ls *.mp3 > book.m3u

from the terminal and then loading the m3u file. Pannucci remembers the position in the m3u file (though sometimes it gets reset, which is very annoying). So beside the need to visit the terminal once for every book, I fail to see the advantage of nQa.

I routinely listen to books with 30 or more chapters so it is painful.

Sorry about not getting back to you sooner. The package contains two versions of the same icon, I'm not sure both are used though
  • /usr/share/icons/hicolor/48x48/hildon/nqaap.png (48x48)
  • /usr/share/icons/hicolor/scalable/hildon/nqaap.png (64x64)

With regards to colors, motive and style and everything else, I have no requests of any kind... Just do what you feel like.

Can you spell out in the manner of Maemo for Idiots just what you do? Is the "*" an "*" or does it stand for something? I take it that "book" is the name of the book, but is it a folder, too? Are you running this command from the folder where the "book.m3u" folder is? Have you pre-made such a folder or is it created by this ls command? You get the idea: I'm not looking to get those questions answered but just to get a clear Idiot's guide of a step-by-step.

Thanks!!

Not sure what the "index" support was in the code or how it could be activated but in my github I just pushed support for m3u support and single-chapter books

How/when should we handle the merging of our code? I think I'm starting to run to the limit of features I had thought of. I also imagine Maemo 4.1 users might be a bit interested in getting support for that platform merged in,
