Flash 10.1 is allegedly not coming to n900 so does that mean we are all screwed if we cant have flash 10.1 ??
Why isn't flash coming to the n900 when Adobe demonstrated it on the n900 six months ago. That's total bs.

okay guys i hate to be a thread nazi but can we PLEASE save the arguments over 10.1 for somewhere else and work towards getting flash 9 working as it should post 1.2 update. i have checked the sites i have issues with, and looking under settings the "about flash player 9" option confirms it is flash 9 with the problems.

also has anyone else noticed that after flash video hanging at 1% the browser also stops working until restarted?

Indeed I have, however while playing around I had something stuck in loading and left it idle while I was doing something else. When I came back I moved the window slightly and the video started playing. Am trying to replicate the results.

Apart of what Open Source lovers saying about flash I have to strongly disagree with this statement.

I cannot even imagine situation when flash player will be released to the 3th party. But this is the most obvious scenario.

We will get 20 different versions each will get different features. The biggest advantage of plash player (cross platform compatibility) will be destroyed. Regarding to the current tech wars one of the company called APPLE will create their own Flash player and will tell you this is the best solution ever because its APPLE will destroy the 3th parties and we all end up in Orwell tech world. Is that what we wont?

When you guys understand that this is only way and Adobe weapon in their hands? And at present I'm really glad they doing this way. maybe some day they will remove license restriction. But if that will happen I will start looking for another job. That will be true flash killer or suicide actually.

What about this?

The problem is Adobe is now at the "put up or shut-up" mode and expect the OEM's to provide resources (money and support) so that the published beta and final release will work with the respective OS and hardware drivers. Adobe is already working on the Moto Droid, which is the same chipset as the N900 (3430), but of course a different OS.

The sad thing is Adobe already stated that Flash 10.1 can be released as an app on any current OS, but must be (obviously) compliant with the respective OS to work.

Nokia seems to have wanted to be part of the 10.1 hoopla, late last year, but now it is time to spend money and allocate people. Different game now.

I can only tell you guys, the best flash performance so far I can notice using Midori. But this web browser is a pain in terms of stability

Point in all of this is all Nokia has to do is probably allocate one person to work with Adobe to get this done. The hardware part is already covered, since the 3430 is one of the supported devices for GPU support.

this is true not all flash sites are working. i have this site www.redtube.com, before the update it's able to view it in full screen but now with pr 1.2 it opens in full screen if you maximize it however just showing 3/4 of the video screen.

try it yourself .... you'lll get annoyed but will enjoy the site lol
