Give up flash 10.1 it will not come to N900...

N900 is an open source geek minicomputer not an "I must have flash phone"

Here is a tip: Next time use search :-)

So when did Nokia state flash 10.1 wasn't coming to the N900? Before or after it was demonstrated running on a N900? Please enlighten us all.

I dont say they have "stated it", but to most of us it seems it will not come. That's how bussines work. They must focus on the most important. It probadly cost to much debug, test it.

Also Flash is not open sourced soo we cant get help from the open source people here, soo why bother ask million time here about flash 10.1, no one here have a real answer? Ask nokia support/forum instead.

But one thing we atleast now is Nokia is focusing on Meego now and hopefully we atleast get Meego support with help of the Open Source community and some Nokia people. Flash is probadly low prioritize atm...

And I never said, "WHY does my N900 not have flash, Waa Waa" I say Flash is horrible! Like asking why don't they rub crap on my N900, because that's what Flash is. HTML5 all the way. I will be a happy man when Flash goes the way of the Floppy Drive (5 1/2)! As long as Adult sites work on my N900 I'm a happy man! (Woops can I say that? sorry!).

Well, given the issues I'm having on my PC after updating Flash via Firefox etc. Facebook hanging at around 90% of the page download, Youtube not loading properly (100's of missing thumbnails and some videos not starting until I refresh the page, same in Facebook) and on top of that, if I disable Adblock Plus and allow Flash ads to display my browser suffers a big performance hit. I'm certainly not desperate for Flash 10.x on my N900 at the moment.

And I'm not the only one getting one or more of the above problems.

We really need Flash 10.1 for N900. Otherwise there would be no use for Adblock anymore...

Guys there is an alternative if you wish to access Flash 10.1 on your N900.. I have worked & uploaded a Flash 10.1 final version for NITDroid & posted a download link here :

http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=60923

Works perfectly fine.. Hence, if you need to work with Flash intensive stuff, I suggest boot NITDroid & you will be thrilled to be using Flash 10.1 on your Nokia N900..

Cheers !!!

Hi there, I was wondering, could anyone pls post a list of sites that actually require Flash 10 (as in "can't be tricked by spoofing flash version id")?

I only know of street view that doesn't work, any other "killer apps" we're missing out on (unless we boot android)?
