No. The Galaxy S Pro will basically the GSM variant of the Samsung Epic 4G. So yeah... you Europeans will get the actually use it - only us Yanks are still using the anachronistic CDMA.

And the Epic 4G is the only Samsung Galaxy S phone with a LED camera flash.

Galaxy S is better for watching videos by far.
Also it has obvios, usly all the Android apps and games.
More GPS apps and soon official flash 10 support.

N900 has hw keyboard which I MUCH prefer.
Has far more intuitive and proper multitasking.
Dunno. I've used both. I prefer N900 still.
My N900 is a PC and Galaxy S is a smartphone.

I don't feel Galaxy S is an "upgrade" really. It's not tons better.
I would personally wait for next-gen Android 3.0 devices or MeeGo devices.

That N900 is PC and Galaxy S is smartphone spot on. I still much prefer the overclocked N900 browser experience over Galaxy S and i general N900 is a device where i spend time on while Galaxy S to me is a bit more of phone with lots of apps.

As a everyday smartphone Galaxy S is so far my favorit. Partly because i prefer capacitive and smaller size.
N9 hw wise so far seems perfect with tying the 4" screen, qwerty, 8-12mpx, hopefully HDMI out and all that in a rather small package. Can't wait for that.

one thing that I miss my N900 (well I am still using it for that actually)

with the FM Transmitter and the internet connection, I stream radio from the internet onto the phone, and then from the phone I transmit it to my car

I understand that for "normal" users that's not so useful, but for a sports fan who wants to listen to a football game from another country while driving back from work, there is no going back from that!

luckily, because the Samsung has the WIFI AP feature, I just use the N900 to connect to the Galaxy S and stream from the internet.

The Galaxy S has an amazing screen and plays videos well, but I can't make it stream my videos from my DLNA server :/ Anyone managed that?

Also I am still experiencing lockups. They say that these get fixed with froyo, so fingers crossed...

As far as the Android market, it has indeed thousands upon thousands of apps, but is missing some foundamental ones.

I just wish there was a combination of the two phones

You clearly missed the thread where I pointed out that "mobile web" content is a redirected web page from the web server side based on the Agent tag your browser identifies itself with. You CAN change the agent tag on any Android phone to report itself as an Android, an iPhone or as a desktop browser very easily, so you can get whatever flavor of web content you want that the web designers tried to pigeon-hole you into. Again, it's not about the browser, it's about what you identify your architecture as. On my Droid, to make things very easy, I use both Android's browser and Dolphin. I've set the Android browser to the default 'Android' agent while I've set Dolphin to identify itself as a desktop browser, so I can get either just by picking whichever browser to launch for any given thing I want to do. Because the N900 is not identified as Android nor iPhone (instead, it's in the "WTF IS THIS?" category) it just falls back on whatever a "Miscellaneous" default category falls into (usually the default web pages you browse on the desktop).

You can enjoy that ****, or the other ****. It's not really an issue on Android (and I suspect it's not an issue on N900's browser, nor most platforms, either by changing the agent identifier).

danramos i believe you can change the user agent of the N900 too, so this is not such a big deal.

but another big minus for me is no skype for the galaxy S!

the hardware of the galaxy is just amazing but android and its software is letting me down at the moment :/
