Not zenith .. if apt-get doesn't solve the dependencies .. post here the result of the xterminal.

EDIT:
Apart from scrolling the desktop, which is still not smooth, it's like a new phone - minimizing windows and bringing up the app menu is pretty much iPhone level fluid...
