I don't seem to be able to edit any of the photos I've taken with the N9. Once synced to my pc via Nokia link, all the photos give the same error when trying to rotate them or do any other kind of editing. It says, and this is a translation from finnish, This picture cannot be saved because there is an error in the picture properties. What to do?

Edit: I found out that the error code is Error 0x80070057 and the only fix i could find is to install a windows update: System Update Readiness Tool.

I will install this update and lets see what happens.

edit2: Nope, that didn't help.

I have same problem. After every phone call at home there is pulseaudio process in process list and it takes 25-35% CPU and drains battery very fast. After reboot it does not exist but after next call (at home) it is again there. I noticed that problem exists when network is changed between 2G/3G during phone call. If I changed network mode to GSM or 3G only -> no pulseaudio problem.

Similar or same problem existed on N900 two years back with tonegend process that kept pulse-audio active, but they fixed it later. Wonder if it has crept back. Mind you, I haven't got it with N9 myself.
At the time problem seemed to be triggered by same conditions.

If you get it again and you have dev-mode on, you can try
'killall tonegend' and see if it cures pulse-audio cpu usage.

It can be reproduced but when I type "killall tonegend" it responds "killall: can't kill pid 1453: Operation not permitted"

ps ->
1453 root /usr/bin/tonegend -s cept -b 100 -r 20

Hmm, I tried killall tonegend before I posted and it seemed to kill the process as I didn't get any warnings or messages of the lack of the target process.

Did you elevate yourself as root with 'devel-su'? Password is 'rootme'. Not all commands work so I tested it beforehand because of that.

REMEMBER N9 is still supported by Nokia and active developes even if many people her seems to think this is not the case...

even if we like to "hack" those issues should be solved by Nokia!

This is mustfix isssue! So send bugreport!!

I tried with root but pulseaudio did not die after "killall tonegend"

I used following steps:

1. "top" to check that pulseaudio does not exist
2. Create call and wait until network changes from 3G to 2G -> end call
3. "top" -> pulseaudio exists
4. "devel-su" and "rootme" as password
5. "top" -> pulseaudio exists
6. "killall tonegend" -> (no any output, it was like after enter pressed)
7. "top" -> pulseaudio still exists

I repeated steps 6. and 7. and it did not die.

I also tried "killall pulseaudio" as root but now it responds "killall: can't kill pid565: Operation not permitted.

I have already discussed this with Nokia guys today and it should be reported to the bug database. They were able to reproduce this problem with same operator sim as I have (DNA Finland).

When the fix will be available. Now I have to reboot my phone after every phone call at home.

Ok. Pulseaudio itself didn't die in N900 bug but just stopped wasting cpu when tonegend process was killed. But if this was the case I'm sure you'd noticed it already. Most probably this is not the same bug.

It was worth a try and thanks for testing it still.
