Hi chrm
Thanks for this good app, installed, tested, leaved comment on Nokia store
I want to ask you, can you add the hidden folder for downloaded languages in MyDocs? It's txt format and it's not necessary to see this files in documents app when it located directly in MyDocs..
Another question.. When i use Hebrew translation, i write the word and press enter, at this moment my word jump to the right side (it's ok for hebrew), but i can't see the part of the word because it's behind the black "x". can you move this words a little left or move the "x" to the left side when people using right-to-left languages ?

Thanks

So there is no offline translator for Harmattan (or I'm unable to find one ;-)) - until now!

This is DingMee. It can fetch dictionaries from www, store them local and it has a nice search GUI.
At this time, only german/english is supported. I hope, I can release version 0.0.1 in the next days.

I'll also join the coding competition with DingMee.

Here some screenshots:

Hello,

This is great work. Would you happen to have translation for Tagalog language (for Philippines)? Or do you need contributions for translations? Willing to offer help, just guide me through.

Hi,

@donomar:
I'll will enable the cross-language-search, but not in realtime on the phone. I will convert it once and provide the result as a new downloadable dictionary. I have already generated an de-es dictionary this way (~21.000 entries). It will be available in the next release.
But its not very easy. The english part is not always the same, so my "cross-language-generator" will always reduce the number of directory entries...

@Schturman, @flopjoke:
Thank you for the feedback. I'll fix it.

@all:
I'm in contact with the wiktionary.org team and searching the web for new, free available dictionaries. I try to provide a high-quality translations (see my post about the number of entries), so don't be disappointed, if new releases do not provide your language.

Please help me searching for new dictionary sources. They must fulfil this qualifications:
- Licence compatible to GPL v3
- Free available (free download)
- Readable/Convertible file format
- Number of entries > 5.000

I'm also very happy about bug reports and ideas for new features!

Thank you,
chrm

Good idea to generate new dictionaries based on the cross language search.

I'm personally interested in different dictionaries aroud the french language (fr-de, fr-es, etc).

hey, it s good to hear you plan to integrate the cross dictionaries
do the dict s that your tool use have a version number and get updated regularly? if so, you might consider a simple version check option for the user and offer a replacement/update for the files...
regarding the rest i m totally satisfied

Hi,

version 0.1.3 is submitted to ovi store.

Change-log:

- English-Hungarian (en-hu, 21.697 entries)
- Spanish-German (es-de) -> first non-english dictionary

I hope, it will appear online soon.

EDIT:

@donomar:
Good Idea! The wiktionary.org dicts are continually growing. I'll will update the dicts from time to time.
