Yup, I do that as well.. the only thing that makes this workaround good is that you can do it offline too.

That's not because of the N9 at all. It's just because of the third-party app's code and the language they used to design it..

Of course it's bad coding from the devs I never claimed anything else. It's the same on Android and Windows Phone. If you don't code the apps properly they stutter. Only that N9 apps seems to stutter the most of them all.

It's a shame that some apps are very nicely done, like the ones I mentioned. But the only thing that suffers is the scrolling because it has a big impact on the usage actually they scroll that bad.

I noticed that if I use the cable given by Nokia and charge from my laptop.. it charges faster. Through a wall charger, it's kinda slower. Perhaps it's just me.. I have no idea why.
Lol and i thought it was just me. Recognise this from day 1, charging from laptop is way faster then wall charger.

Ah, so that's how you do it!

Well i'm no programmer (!!!!!!!!!) but i do love the N9. Its OS is so much more beautiful than Symbian Belle (!!) and so smooth, so integrated. I dont have to go to Fmobi to share a photo on facebook, i can do it from the share button in the gallery! Where was that in Symbian?! There are so many beautiful things about this phone.

I do enjoy a bit of modding (always kept cfws on my symbian phones) and so i have added themes, inception, LED notifications, etc etc. I am not the sharpest pencil in the stack and i dont havetime to learn how to write apps in QML or QT but i can enjoy what the community has done for the N9, donate where appropriate and say a hearty thank you to the folks who work hard to make this an even better phone than itwas to begin with.

got my (white) N9 two days ago.
awesome.
why does the primary menu look so familiar?
because i had a N8 for nearly a year now, a 808 PV for a few weeks?
yeah, the same icons.
functionality?
sorry to have to say so, but NOKIA Belle is more functional.
even Fremantle is, as a matter of fact.
sure, swipe rocks, the whole UI paradigm blasts everything else into meaninglessness, but it feels unfinished
then again, it is still locked without any additional apps as i want to make a... backup? couldn't even find a backup app anywhere
Belle? file manager, last "drive"...
o yeah, where is the file manager for crying out loud

what a potential... wasted :'(

Farthole, go rot and burn in hell ad aeternam

EDIT: and get a HUGE ananas pushed up your @$$ every 15 min >¦-)

yeah, thanks
came across it myself while (somewhat) desperately looking for the version it is running a little while later

and a couple minutes ago came across that...
Nokia has released its Q3 2012 results, reporting an operating loss of €576 million, with net sales of €7.239 billion (down 19% YoY). Nokia's Devices and Services division's losses were €683 million. The margin in Devices and Services was -19.2% (down from 3.1% in Q3 2011 and down from -11.8% in Q2 2012). Total smartphone device sales were 6.3 million (2.9 million Lumia), compared with 16.8 million units in Q3 2011 (down 63% YoY) and 10.2 million units in Q2 2012 (down 38%, QoQ).

but a picture says more...

  • rediculous how m@ke$$h!t cr@p only sold because they were practically given away...
  • will Asha save NOKIA?!?
  • and then... 'til burning hara-kiri, sales were rising steadily

conclusion: cut farthole in pieces and feed it to the porcs... >:-X
