• 1208 as replacement for a crappy windooooz im-mobilized from work; well, the device itself, a Samsung 780i if memory serves well wasn't that crappy, the OS was, obviously

• iPotato 3G used 3 days, then switched back to N95

o, forgot the 7710, but it doesn't belong in the awesomeness list in my book
actually bought the 1100 to have a working phone instead

Nokia 5146 was my first Nokia.
Then i had a Ericsson T10 (and hated it)
Then Nokia 3210, 7110, 6600, 6630, N80, N95, N82, Samsung i8510, back to an N82, 5800XM, N8, and now N9.
I did play with a HTC touch pro2 round the time of the 5800, but i gave it away, i hated it so much.
My husband always has HTCs, and i admit, his OneX is pretty nice. BUT, i wouldnt use it.
I also have a nexus 7 (and so does my 9 year old) and we love the nexus / android, but it holds nothing compared to Meego.

Haha, I also had the magnificent 2110i and "discovered" SMS before the telecomproviders managers pictured it as the next cash cow and it started to cost.

Even years after the 2110i the SMS Center software of our main telecom provider was still running on a not so up to date small server on Windows NT4 somewhere in a corner and could easily go down due to overload. A situation our company could easily help to achieve with a leased line to the SMSC. , so they had to program "SMS throttling" server side.

Of course my 2110i had the extended battery pack making it look even more sexy. The GSM coverage was pretty bad and battery could get drained easily when moving around.

Imagine the hardware features and stand by time we could cramp in such a form factor these days.

Another highlight of that era was the first 7110 displaying the first porn on WAP

(the nerds of the company gathered around the phone displaying clearly identifyable pixel mess making excited moves

I can only confirm that the Nokia N9 is the coolest device ever by Nokia. My girlfriend is jealous, I have to be careful that it does not damage;-)

I had three battery packs to my 2110i, one extra-fat booster and 2 slimmies. I had the packs labeled as 1,2,3 and rotated them in the phone to keep the wear of "nimh-memory-effect" to minimal
I had a charger dock on my bedside table where I charged the batteries in turn... oo those were the days

If I recall correctly I could go for whole weekend on the booster battery if I did not use the phone a lot... the slimmies lasted about 20h or so?

That was a lot better than what I had on my first cellphone, it was an analog "NMT" phone from Siemens, I really do not even remember what the model was but it was about first of the portable phones unlike the carphones used at that time. Batteries on that phone lasted maximum 8 hours if you did not use it for talking

She took back the N9, she loves it. Ithing is for spare now.
