I have a feeling that setting up a bug tracker is not worth the effort, if only a handful of users will ever bother to use a bug tracker. I've seen this with other projects, where the bug tracker soon withered.
There must be other ways to reach a majority of users, not a small minority of tech-savvy ones.

OK, OTOH, scraping forums and store comments for bugs might work as an interim solution, but this can't be the final solution.
Maybe a simple to use app, that users can use to report problems? With an integrated screenshot function maybe?

That's actually not a bad idea. An app would be great, meaning anyone could submit any bugs or issues they have found. If all the caught exceptions could be put into log the app could upload that log back to Jolla.

I think Nokia does this for windows phone under settings you can send feedback.

BUT I defo vote for an app or built in Jolla feature to send feedback and bug reports back to Jolla.

mer and nemo have bugzilla's.
For Sailfish, not too sure Jolla will have a bugzilla, but I believe are working on some way to contribute bug reports.

That's indeed a good idea. BTW, something similar is already being used on normal Linux distros in the form of the ABRT tool, which is automatically started if an application crashes. Using the tool the user can automatically create a new bug in bugzilla and add any related info for the crash. ABRT also automatically gathers relevant crash dumps and log files & the server side service does automatic deduplication of similar errors.

But I would say a submit-bug app is not enough - you also need a public tracker so that people get feedback that the bug is being worked on, can provide further information and help testing that the issues has been fixed. Without a public tracker there will also be massive duplication, both in the tracker & in online forums with people reporting the same issue over and over again.

For a reference on Zimbra 8.0.5 backend deletion of emails does work (at least so far). Zimbra server reports activesync protocol version 12.1 for Sailfish OS client, which is quite old. It could be that your server is using newer or older version of protocol depending on the version of Exchange.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Exchan...ctiveSync_12.1

If you have knowledge of Exchange version used in your environment, it might be useful in troubleshooting this problem.
If server supports version 12, we use that one since the implementation is complete for the main features, support for version 14 is preliminary, but basic cases should work fine.

You can actually use the zen helpdesk to take a screencast and submit a request:

I assumed this was for bugs. A public discussion can help filter out duplicate submissions and sometimes provide interim fixes, so isn't without merit.

So, managed to get my Clock application really messed up.

Events that lead to this: Set up an alarm and shut down the phone. When the alarm started to ring, the screen came on but didn't recognize any touch input. Turning the phone upside down didn't quiet the phone, neither did pressing one of the keys quickly either.

Not sure whether this works even in normal situation, but with N9 you can at least silence the alarm this way.

So what I had to do was to loooong press the power button, this shut down the phone and ring ended.

When I booted up the phone, it came clear that something had gone wrong with the clock application. My old alarms were nowhere to be seen anymore inside the application. But surely enough, in the lockscreen there is the alarm icon "shining". Tried to set a new alarm, let me do it, but that alarm didn't show up either.

Decided to remove the application, removed it normally. The icon still in my lock screen. Reinstalled the application, everything went normally, still couldn't save a new alarm. I still have the alarm icon in the lockscreen. Rebooted the phone, situation does not change.

Reinstalled the application again, this time shutting the phone down after removal, didn't help, the situation still the same. And the alarm icon has stayed at the lockscreen all the time. Also setting up the timer is not working. Can't remember how the stopwatch worked previously, now it starts running but if I go away from that specific screen the stopwatch goes back to zero.

Any similar experiences and any advice?

BTW, already before this problem happened, noticed a bug.
When selecting active days for alarm, the day indicator in the opening screen of the Clock application didn't "bold out" Saturday and Sunday even if they were selected in the alarm dates.

In this thread Stefano (Jolla CTO) has more-or-less "slammed the hammer down" on that idea IIRC:

Read it, & add your input if you think you can make some good points, it's important that everyone does.

Note that the client supports offline actions, so if you are not online email will disappear from the UI but not in server side until a sync is done and client changes are exported.
It says "deleting" for some time - and than email stays in place.
Online.
