Mine did same for first few days / reboots. Rock solid and eating far less battery now. Reboot it and test until it improves, report back if not.

Its rather striking that so many users experience a little instableness and battery drain the first few days, but after that the phone seems to have adapted and everything comes back to normal.

I still think the battery drains slightly faster but I cannot prove that because I have not made exact measurements. Still very happy with this new kernel, my phone is also a little 'snappier', and I am willing to offer a little battery life for instant response.

Keep up the good work.

For the record:
N900 - Maemo 5 PR1.3
Latest CSSU (20.2010.36-2maemo14.1)
Power Kernel v47
Undervolted: LV-profile
Overclocked: min 250, max 805
SmartReflex: VDD1=1 VDD2=1
HWsync: enabled
using extras-devel

thanks for all your work. I have been really pleased with many aspects of this kernel.

However, I was wondering if you acknowledge that there could be a problem with battery lfe on this version. I left my phone on standby overnight and it dropped from 8 to 5 bars with almost nil CPU activity.

Now it's possible that v47 is not to blame, but the problem seemed to start at the time I installed it.

Do any of the v47 devs notice a difference, and has there been any investigation?

Cheers, X.
Powertop, top, batterygraph, ps logs or it didn't happen.

For what is worth.. since I updated from v46 to v47 I haven't noticed any difference in speed OR in battery consumption (using the same OC settings: LV and 250-850).

In fact, I seriously doubt that a patch here or a patch there (of the kind we're talking about) can provide any of those two effects in any significant manner.

For people reporting these things, as *vi_* has asked, please try to provide further information (e.g. what exactly you did besides updating the kernel) and any logs that may be relevant..

I have high drain with 46 and latest CSSSU. I keep seeing stuff eating CPU that should be silent, like status menu, dbus daemon and the like. How many of you have CSSU in?

I wouldn’t be quick at judging against kp v47 or CSSU or their combination for battery drain. I mean would it not affect everyone? I have this configuration for many days now and I have not experienced any unusual battery drain either idle or when using it.
This is my battery drain for about ten hours of inactivity at night; just gsm, almost perfect is it not?

Classic example of arbitrary Nokia decision making. Couldn't just fallback to the no brainer of tagging with lat/lon if network isn't accessible, could you Nokia?
