Just remove the name of application from .desktop file, for example:
Code:
[Desktop Entry]
Encoding=UTF-8
Version=1.0
Type=Application
Terminal=false
Name=
Exec=/usr/bin/invoker --type=d -s /opt/QN9T/bin/QN9T
Icon=/usr/share/icons/hicolor/80x80/apps/QN9T80.png
X-Window-Icon=
X-HildonDesk-ShowInToolbar=true
X-Osso-Type=application/x-executable
And refresh homescreen...

I`m really new to all this so please forgive me if I ask dumb questions .I`m going to install N9QT on my current phone which has a combination of different apps,installed from TMO and Nokia store.I just need to know what app or apps have been known to cause adverse reactions,ie MALF,when N9QT has been installed over them or what apps should I strip from the phone and reinstall after installing N9QT.Ive read the Wiki page and clearly understand that but I cant find a list,if one even exist,of problem apps.Any assistance would be great.Im just a dumb corrosion engineer after all......

installation of n9qt not do nothing to your phone. Read pdf/wiki about tweaks and use it carefully.

What you exactly mean "hiding" ?
1. No desktop icon?
2. Password protected?
