Without going through 60 pages, though I did go through quite a few, what would you recommend me to use with these in mind:
-I used Pidgin and it kept crashing and closing
-Amsn takes forever to load, is slow and cluttered.
-I do not want some plugin that will integrate msn contacts into my phone contacts or something like that, want an application.
-I am only going to use msn(hotmail).
Recommendations?

Dunno why you guys are having trouble with MSN on Pidgin. Works just fine for me on any platform I run it on (Ubuntu, Windows 7, Maemo).

Have you tried to uninstall and delete any configuration/profiles made by Pidgin and reinstall it?

Several times, didn't help.
It usually crashes when multitasking, I am browsing web or something and I get big yellow message it crashed. But not always, sometimes in a middle of sentence when talking...

I have a strange problem with Pidgin. For some reason it does not allow me to enable my configured accounts if they are disabled.
The "enable account" list is always empty even though in account management I have the accounts. Apparently only way to "re-enable" the already existing accounts is to remove them and add again.
Any suggestions?

I can't connect to AIM. It keeps telling me my username and password are wrong but when I enter them in on the computer, it logs in just fine. Can anyone help? Anyone experiencing this issue? I'm using the plugin for contacts.

Strange things are happening with conversations' built-in ICQ protocol. After an update it refuses to connect, but if I'm logged in from my PC its client goes offline telling me that I've connected from another machine.
In advanced ICQ settings there is an option called Encryption, which is always set to "opportunistic_encryption"
If I leave this field blank, then press Done, then Save, then open the setting again - "opportunistic encryption" is there again.

It used to make a sound when someone sent me a message and when I replied too but now...nothing. No matter how I change the settings, there's no sound.
Can anyone help with this?
