Yeah, unfortunately, LIRC is not a very complete or comprehensive source for IR information, but it seems to be the best out there right now. (I feel your pain -- I'm in the process of writing my own little IR control app right now, and am just dying for some better data...)

Have you just tried searching remote hex codes in google I used to program prontos for awhile, was always able to find what I needed for the most part.
1st hit on google

Also, for anyone having trouble with QtIrreco (or just interested in trying out something different), please consider the app Pierogi. I wrote it out of my frustration at the QtIrreco design, and I think it has a much better underlying philosophy of how a remote control should perform. (Plus, I think it's much easier to use.) Or, is there any way to send ircodes directly from the commandline?
-If so, then i could implement it with a folder full of .desktop files instead
