great program though keep up the good work
The log file just logs error messages and stuff - to really delete something you would have to delete the corresponding directory in /home/user/.fmms/mms/ as well as the entry for both the MMS and the Push message in the sqlite database stored in /home/user/.fmms/mms.db.

I'll work on making the "Delete" action less error prone and better to actually delete stuff

For others also with this problem there is a solution for the time being, once you create the new APN for the mms you need to recreate the internet APN.

This is because when you go out of range of your wifi it defaults to the newest created APN (before the mms), so recreating the internet APN makes it the default instead.

Hopefully it should solve that problem for you.

edit: looks like I beaten to that one, sorry!

WOW! 61 pages on setting up MMS for the N900 huh. I guess I'll just screw it and wait for an official release of MMS on the N900 before messing up and screwing with my phone. Man this phone is really for a Linux techie geek and if you aren't a techie, then you need to waste hours and hours days and days reading through all of these forums on how to do small stuff.

For example take the new levels for Angry Birds that just came out. You have to do like 5 things before you become successfull and you must know how to do each one of those things, hence, my saying that you must research threads all day to learn this stuff.

I love my N900 but I ran out of reasons to show it off lol. Too much "command line" sh*t you have to do. My wife has one as well and her phone is still basic with nothing on it but yet she loves it. If she wanted to download or install anything, she wouldn't know the first thing about even setting up repositories unless I do it for her. Still not an end user phone and I wonder how much longer it will be before we see all this stuff simplified.

I mean Nokia did intend for the N900 to eventually be an end user device right? Or am I wrong and they only wanted it for geeks?

It's rather 61 pages about assorted stuff related to the application, it's not all about settings really... :P Around page, err, 37? There is a comment that official MMS support is not planned for release on the N900.

So yeah, I spent today with the _awesome_ people at Maemo and got more then a few pointers - basically I got answers to everything I wanted to ask about.

Regarding integration with Conversations: It's off the TODO-list - basically it's way to much effort as it stands atm. Standalone it is, for the foreseeable future.

Automatic fetching of MMS regardless of active connection - solveable, I got the stuff I need, but it's a bit tricky making sure it works correctly

Sharing service - should be straightforward as well.

Loads of small UI tweaks on the list - hopefully it should improve the user experience

Overall, I'm just amazed how nice and helpful everyone was, and a big thanks to everyone there for having me

/me heads back to bed, never again the morning flight to Helsinki :P

Wow frals playing with the big boys . Deserved too such a great application. How are the developers I've heard a rumour that they are only 2 feet tall and wear purple and yellow every day and only eat seaweed lol

Can't wait for the regardless of connection feature. I am cancelling data plan with T-mobile as i don't use it much outside of work. I use it at home with wi-fi MOSTLY.

Uh, my bad for the phrasing - the MMS APN is still the one thats going to be used - its just gonna be (mostly) transparent to the user that its happening.
