Sorry but this is false alarm again,,,
Telenor have exclusivity on the N9 (until January 1). You can of course get them off contract in every shop, but if you want one on contract, you have to get it directly from Telenor. When Telenor say it will come on the 3rd (unconfirmed) it means +- 5 days, a week at most. And the 3rd is only two weeks off, and the announcement came today.

Anyone else find it odd that the estimated/rumored/proposed cost is so ridiculously high for a phone with a linux OS? I mean, it just hit me in the face. I spent near $400 for my N900 with a linux OS, but I get 3+ distributions when I buy an $11 magazine at the book store. I know the hardware can be costly but... something just off about that.

I'm sure it's quite expensive to develop all the closed, bug-ridden shite that Nokia sticks on top of the OS.
