currently im stuck on how to compile either ofono to work on android (cant seem to get it to build right at min) or how to get pnatd to run in chroot - my kernel is screwed at min though and im not sure if its related to an update pr1.2 did - any ideas anyone

Can android be run in CHROOT (similar to Easy Debian?)?
Seems like a few people are having kernel issues after update to PR1.2.

I had no issues, I used flasher-3.5 to update and I had titans kernel (34?) and then once I updated, there was an update for titans to 37.
Maybe update the kernel (check HAM) or uninstall then reinstall it.

chroot isnt possible without custom kernel. android NEEDS the modified kernel with its additional modules.

How hard is it combine best parts of two kernels??

not too hard but at min i have a new problem, my previosuly working kernel wont boot on pr1.2 updated n900 :S, ive uploaded my kernel source if anyone fancys helping out here ...

also i got a 2.6.34 kernel patially based on cyanogens work to patially boot but it could only see the phones internal storage (emmc) so im wondering if someone would be willing to investigate that also - will tarball and upload later this eve

currently im working back on NITDroid N8x0 due to the problem im having with n900s kernel, sincei need someone with better skills to examine the n900 issue first. first priority for n8x0 is rebase it to eclair 2.1 - yes ytou read right ive decided to move from 1.6 to 2.1 on the N8x0 - hopefulyl i may be able to get it working well enough to be usable and get battery etc up and going
