yes, this is what I referred to earlier in this thread (I think, it's been going on a long time).
there has been a build with the IVI drivers, but there was a bug, they fixed the bug, but didn't make a release of the build for people to download. sigh.

if yr a real sucker for punishment, there's a 131 page forum thread about getting the driver into 10.04 on that page, which takes you here:

this is why my U820 which triple-booted ubuntu 10.04, moblin/meego and windows 7 spends most of its life booting windows7 ;-(

Unfortunately is's about par for the course across most of the industry. Latest incarnation: Qualcomm's snapdragon driver. Nice to see airlied drawing a line though.

"has EABI version 5, but target" vs "has EABI version 4"
will upgrading the compiler will help to build (dont care about running) EABI binaries ?
