Please download and install using the image installer. I need people to test it.

qole: just encountered the following problem with the upgraded easy-deb-chroot and easy-chroot: under debbie "df" and "df -h" doesn't produce any result any longer!?

rebhana: search above for workarounds. The simplest one is to use "df -h /" (just stick a / at the end).

This seems to be a side effect of upgrading to mostly Squeeze packages.

19h39 : I fire up "Deb Img Install".
19h40 : Ask if I want to download from the Main or Sweden Mirror. I chose Main.
19h41 : Ask where I would like to install the image v3b. It will be MyDocs.
19h41 : ETA ~15 min.
20h01 : Asking me to extract the image file. Thanks for the warning ! I would also suggest to ask the user to go in "offline mode". If you receive a phone call of IM while the device is busy it will take a very very long time to be responsive again.
20h40 : Congratulation! All has gone well!

I've filed bug 9353, "File decompression can take a very very long time".

The fuser bug has an internal ID, which means it'll get fixed. Let's hope someone figures out why it can take so long to decompress a file that should only take 8mins to decompress, and we can get this one fixed too.

Thanks and sorry - I have ignored all those posts because I never had that issue before. I have only lenny packages. It stopped working without the / after I upgraded the easy... packages and installing one seemingly harmless application, zim, from lenny. Weird.

I've updated easy debian and a problem came out for me. Again with the menu icon. It was in the left upper corner but when i tried to tap on it nothing was happening. The solution for this was easy. I've taped ot the upper part of the screen and the on Add/Remove Panel items and then deleted the menu icon from the panel and closed the window. The I've opened it again and added the menu icon and then moved it on the first place in the panel and now everything works perfectly.
maybe this will help someone

After closing and opening debian lxde again the problem comes back so I have to through the whole process again

Qole this isn't directly related to Easy Debian but I'm using it to run a web server on my n900. I used the packages from this site to do it http://www.greenhughes.com/content/w...ket-nokia-n900 the question I have is their anyway to move the location for root of webserver out of the chroot enviroment and either in MyDocs or SD card?

I'm not sure this could possibly have to do with Easy Debian, but I had the following problem (twice now) after I had done nothing expect playing around with Easy Debian (image v3b and newest packages), namely with xbindkeys and how to make that work with zim, a desktop wiki, and then closing Debian chroot. After that, CPU usage went to 100%, with battery draining rapidly, and the process behind that was /usr/bin/maemo-xinput-sounds. Unfortunately, I couldn't reproduce it by retracing what I had done before. Since I remember that qole had to work so hard with pulseaudio, I wonder whether the act of closing Debian chroot could have set this off. Has anybody else encountered similar problems?
