Your device has a f/w version DFL61_HARMATTAN_40.2012.21-3_PR_006 and you want to flash DFL61_HARMATTAN_40.2012.21-3_PR_001: 006 is greater than 001 so it is considered a downgrade, and as it says in the final part of the message "Downgrade disallowed".

You have to use a different variant for the firmware. Why don't you reflash the same 006 you have (if there is a reason to reflash your device) ?

I just received my brand new N9 yesterday. Purchased brand new on ebay for $165 w/ shipping included. I live in the US but the phone came from a Hong Kong vendor so the phone came with Chinese fw 003.

I followed the guide exactly as written...downloaded everything I needed from skeiron.com (flasher 3.12.1)& mrcrab.net (German fw 009 & rest of world eMMC). The flash went smooth but said that it failed due to the CMT failing. Followed the guide on how to fix the CMT issue and rebooted.

I now have an N9 that works perfectly! Just wanted to say thanks to itsnotabigtruck for his excellent guide!

Hello

Unfortunately I'm having some big problems with my N9, and it would be very appreciated if someone could help.

The problems just started one day and are listed below:

- At start up it shows: There is a problem with your SIM
- When I go to "Settings \ About product" it doesn't show IMEI,
Bluetooth, or WLAN, and after a while it says Settings not
responding and ask to close it.
- Other random application do the same thing (not responding)
- Phone doesn't connect for a long time with Nokia Suite

Ive tried flashing with win-flash 3.12 and the firmware downloaded from NaviFirm, but it keeps getting me error. Picture of the error in attach. Product code on the sim tray its 059K172

Please can someone help me with this problem because its driving me crazy, and right now my N9 its just a useless brick.
Thank you!

I sent my N9 to Nokia Care. It's not covered by warranty as it's Chinese but the man said he'd have a go for small money. So far he's had no luck and has sent it to head office Ireland. I'll keep you posted.

The phone worked fine for two months with the firmware but I developed network issues. I shut down the phone and it wouldn't reboot. I've being using Pr1.3 for months. When I bought the phone it was running Pr1.3

It may be possible that before selling device to you they have put PR1.3 on it.
I am saying it because if you look at Nokia's firmware list, this product code doesnt appear in PR1.3.
So it may be using older cmt, hence I think ou can download that old firmware and try to flash cmt only with that. Hopefully it will work.
I am facing exactly same issue as you but my phone is not chinese,
By using chinese cmt only flash, I am able to get it working somewhat.
